      A few weeks back, The Gaslight Anthem’s press folks reached out to us for an interview with Alex Rosamilia about the current tour and how last year’s record Get Hurt is doing. We had a great chat last week, and I just had to ask if I could cover Gaslight’s (rare) PNW showing through mid-March. With The Devil Wears Prada hitting Seattle the same night, I asked the Gaslight crew if I could go up to Vancouver to see this New Jersey heavy hitter the night before. They graciously agreed, and I can’t express it well enough: The Gaslight Anthem is a knockout rock show.

      English band Temples is out around the Americas, and will making a stop at the historic Neptune Theater in the U-District 9/20.       Hailing from Vancouver BC, melodic punk band White Lung has posted a new song titled Down With You as a B-side for their upcoming 7″ release. The record, ‘Songs Of The South’ is available for preorder on the Sexbeat London webstore, and you can stream the new song on SoundCloud.

      Seattle supergroup Verlaine has announced an upcoming show, this time at the Q Cafe in the Interbay area. The show will also feature What’s Mine Is Yours and Vancouver BC band The Shrugs. Tickets for the all-ages event are $6 at the door, and when you’re there, be sure to pick up a cup of delicious direct-trade coffee or tea at the bar!     9. News : Peace and Two Door Cinema Club at Neptune Theater 10/26

      UK bands Peace and Two Door Cinema Club will be bringing their catchy brands of indie pop rock to Vancouver BC 10/25 and to Seattle’s Neptune Theater the following night. Peace’s debut LP ‘In Love’ will be out in the US October 1st on Sony Records, and ticketing information is available on the official Peace Facebook profile.     10. News : White Poppy Debut Self-Titled LP Out 9/3, Sets West Coast Tour Dates

      White Poppy, Canadian artist Crystal Dorval’s solo project, will release a debut self-titled LP on vinyl September 3rd. The experimental pop album will be off Californian label Not Not Fun Records, and the full album is already available to stream. White Poppy will be embarking on a Fall tour this coming week in Vancouver BC, and will stop in Seattle 9/13 and Portland 9/14.
