      Toronto’s nastiest punk rockers Pup just kicked off Noisey’s Everything Gets Worse tour, a massive North American run that hit Seattle this week. Kelly, Thomas, and I headed to the El Corazon lounge last Tuesday night to see this RCA favorite blast El Co again, and the band did not disappoint.

      Earlier this week, Scranton quartet The Menzingers brought their headlining Rented World Tour to Seattle’s El Corazon to push the new album of the same title. Supported by Philly band Cayetana, Buffalo trio Lemuria, and Toronto punk hotshots Pup on this national trip, Rented World is being sowed to the masses. New Orleans Topshelf Artist Donovan Wolfington was simultaneously headlining in the El Co lounge, so it was a thoroughly busy night for the venerable building.

With a raging new self-titled on SideOneDummy and an upcoming Summer tour with The Menzingers, Lemuria, and Cayetana, this promising young band is all systems go. Watch their new music video for single Guilt Trip (brace yourself!), and catch them on tour in the PNW: Boise 6/15, Seattle’s El Corazon 6/17, Portland 6/18, with a special live performance on KEXP 6/17 at 1 PM as well.       Eyes and ears all over have rightfully been on Sideonedummy’s recent signee, Toronto quartet Pup. Poised for a 4/8 release of their debut self-titled, this young band expertly mixes the fun of sunny pop with claws-out punk riffage in the vein of Californians Joyce Manor or New Jersey genre landmark Dads.
