If you’ve seen a family-friendly movie recently (specifically, Frozen), chances are you caught the hilariously adorable adventure that was The LEGO Movie trailer. As it turns out, the sugary electropop jam playing during the trailer opening is a collaboration between Andy Samberg’s goofy brainchild The Lonely Island and indie darlings Tegan and Sara, unsurprisingly titled Everything Is Awesome. The LEGO Movie will be out 2/7, and features the vocal talent of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Channing Tatum, and of course, Morgan Freeman in some sort of divine role. Watch the truly fantastic trailer below, or just stream the song if, you know, you’re at work, doing non-LEGO things.
Calgary twins Tegan and Sara performed ‘Closer’ and ‘I was a Fool’ last Saturday on CBS This Morning while supporting Fun. on the Most Nights Tour. ‘Closer’ has brought the sisters a handful of award nominations in 2013, and peaked at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Songs. The duo will come through the Pacific Northwest in late August with Fun., hitting Boise (8/28), Portland (8/29), West Vancouver (8/31), and will also play Jacksonville, OR 8/30 and Seattle’s Bumbershoot 9/1 outside the Most Nights Tour.
