    1. Gallery : The Carnivores Tour hits the Gorge

Having such acts as AFI, Thirty Seconds to Mars and Linkin Park headlining this year’s Carnivores Tour gathered an eclectic crowd that ranged from guidos to geriatrics and everything in between. But no matter how eccentric the onlookers the focus was never taken away from these incredible acts.

A trio of solo songwriters stopped through town in January, and my what a magical evening it was. Max Bemis of Say Anything, Matt Pryor of The Get Up Kids, and Allison Weiss–the only perma-solo member of this lineup–graced the stage at Neumo’s and put on an amazing show to a packed house. I can’t wait for my song shop phone call!

    3. Gallery : The Fall Of Troy at Lively Lounge

Sometime yesterday morning, I caught wind of a secret The Fall Of Troy show happening at Seattle’s brand new Lively Lounge, so I used the power of Twitter to express my desperation towards the right person and scored a way in. In case you’re unfamiliar, The Fall Of Troy is a post-hardcore/math rock trio from Mukilteo that has been on hiatus since 2010, but they recently announced their revival and played a string of reunion shows in Austin, TX before announcing another back here in Seattle. They are playing their hometown show tonight at the Showbox, and hooray–you can still buy tickets for $15.

Hey RCA, it’s been a minute since I’ve [not-so-]graced you with my words *and* photos, so let’s get this picture party started.

    5. Gallery : Feel This Tour: Sleeping With Sirens, Breathe Carolina, Issues, and Our Last Night at Showbox Sodo

The Feel This Tour made its Seattle stop at Showbox Sodo on Saturday, November 26th. Fans packed the house while the risk-taking I’ll-pay-admission-at-the-door folks lingered outside in hopes of snagging leftover tickets. Sleeping With Sirens, Breathe Carolina, Issues, and Our Last Night all played outstanding sets and had decent lighting for the most part–our only wish is that more tours stopped at Showbox Sodo!

    6. Gallery : Moneta, Van Eps, Sky Pilot, Orison, and Alabaster at Showbox at the Market

Last Friday, I commemorated my return to Seattle by photographing the Moneta Music Video Release Show at Showbox at the Market. It was a strange feeling stepping into that room after almost a year of going to shows in New York City venues, but it’s hard not to appreciate the wood floors and upside down red umbrella sculptures on the ceiling of the original Showbox.

The line emerging from the venue doors varied in all ages and sizes; everyone there for one reason. A Day to Remember’s headliner tour “Right Back At it Again” made its stop in Seattle and left all those attended with yet another show they will surely never forget. The tour was a massive one, with countless sold out shows in its route, but with the supporting line-up (Issues and Of Mice & Men) it wasn’t a surprise as to why.

    8. Gallery : All Get Out with The Almost at The Studio At Webster Hall

This was my first experience with the Studio At Webster Hall. The venue itself reminds me of El Corazon with a better bar setup and another venue upstairs where Dillon Francis happened to be playing at the same time; the looks on the faces of the kids that came down to check out the rock show were priceless!
