It’s old news by now, but we’d like to congratulate Seattle’s own Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for their Grammy sweep last night, with awards in Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for Thrift Shop, and Best Rap Album for ‘The Heist’. Let there be no doubt: Seattle is still a key music city.
This Sunday, hometown heroes Macklemore and Ryan Lewis will take the turf at Seattle’s CenturyLink Field during the NFC championship halftime against the 49ers. The duo has long been affiliated with Seattle sports, and this performance is sure to be a roaring crowd-pleaser.

In the continuation of a massive year for Seattle rapper/producer duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, a new music video for White Walls was posted this morning. Watch the new video after the jump!
After the roaring success of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ 2012 album ‘The Heist’, a limited edition double-gold vinyl deluxe version has now been made available for preorder. The album blew the Billboard Charts away upon release in October 2012, topped radio playlists and sales charts, and was certified gold this past April. The limited edition set features gold embossed gator skin packaging, song and album art inserts, gold plated 180-gram vinyls, a download card for the digital expanded album, and will be limited to 15,000 copies worldwide. Preorders will start shipping mid-September, and will be available in-stores in October.
