      On April 1st, Michigan’s La Dispute led their headlining tour through Seattle for a sold out show at El Corazon. With Baltimore band Pianos Become The Teeth and Seattle’s own duet Mansions as support, the key venue was packed to the brim.

Michigan’s brutal genre-defying La Dispute has been teasing the new record ‘Rooms Of The House’ for months now, and today we get a full view of the finished product.       Prepare to have your heart broken. Michigan hardcore standout La Dispute has put out a new video, For Mayor In Splitsville, the second track we’ve seen off of ‘Rooms Of The House’. The track features frontman Jordan Dreyer pairing his tortured screams with curiously monotone singing. The result is uncomfortably perfect. Watch after the jump.

    4. News : La Dispute Announces New Album ‘Rooms Of The House’, US Headlining Tour

      Although the La Dispute website has been more or less down with the excitement of their latest announcements, the news is as follows: The Grand Rapids band will release their new record, ‘Rooms Of The House’, on March 18th, on their own label, Better Living. The band will embark on a full US tour with Pianos Become The Teeth and Mansions, with two PNW dates: 3/31 in Portland and 4/1 in Seattle.       I think I might have been one of approximately five people in the world (rough estimate, y’know) who have never witnessed Thrice in all of their glory, and I’m probably one of an even smaller number who have never listened to one of their albums. Go ahead, judge me. I’m judging myself after going to see this tour. Needless to say, I had not a clue as to what to expect.
