Award-winning a cappella group SeaNote just blasted through the Kickstarter for their first EP, and now the announcement is here: Vocal Static is due out on August 2nd. Be sure to congratulate this talented group, featuring RCA writer Amanda Tran!
In case you didn’t know, RCA staffer Amanda Tran is not-so-secretly one-fifth of talented a cappella group SeaNote. Although only together for a year or so, SeaNote has won several awards in local and NATIONAL competitions! The band needs help recording their debut EP on Kickstarter, where details, rewards, and project goals are outlined. Support this great group and help them get the ball rolling on their first record!
Bellingham indie quartet Candysound has finished recording their upcoming album ‘Now + Then’, and just launched a Kickstarter campaign for an entirely attainable $500 to master and duplicate the record. The band hopes to have the process wrapped up by the end of April, and by the looks of their campaign progress so far, they’re right on track. Campaign support packages include love and gratitude, buttons and stickers, kitten t-shirts, house shows, and of course, physical copies of the new record. Very cool. Set Your Goals co-frontman Matt Wilson is celebrating the band’s 10-year anniversary with a Kickstarter campaign for their own record label, Calaveras. Wilson has set up an ambitious 2-week funding schedule to reissue the band’s decade EP ‘Reset’ on vinyl as the label’s first release, and is looking to fans for help. Headed by former Sherwood guitarist/songwriter Dan Koch, Seattle’s Wayfarer posted a Kickstarter campaign to start off a new record last month in response to an overwhelming buzz around the band’s first two (FREE!) EPs. The 5-piece is headed back to the studio with a new name, Pacific Gold, and a fully funded Kickstarter campaign!
