Hello and welcome to another exciting edition of “stuff we like,” featuring my own self aggrandizing selection of photographs and reflection. Also attempts to be poetic. This will be the last of our best-of posts, so here’s to you and everyone on staff, and happy 2015! We are approaching TEN YEARS OF EXISTENCE in June and will need to celebrate accordingly… so who wants to play our anniversary show?

Living in a small town can be harsh, mainly because Warped Tour does not even attend the state I live in. Instead of allowing that to be aggravating, my best friend Ali and I looked at this opportunity of travel in positive light. Although the Minnesota Warped Tour date is only three hours north, we decided to travel and be free of the stressors in our everyday lives. We drove to Minneapolis the night before and went out and about in the great city.
Since many of the RCA staffers will be at Vans Warped Tour 2014, we figured it would be cool to do a preview for the bands we’re (individually) most excited to see!

Stepping into a Showbox SoDo that was packed from wall to wall, I found myself immersed in a crowd smothered in red plaid and black fidgeting before the lights dimmed for the long-awaited American Dream Tour with co-headliners Of Mice & Men and Bring Me the Horizon. The tour, which included opening acts letlive. and Issues, successfully corralled over-eager crowd surfers and teenage boys willingly throwing themselves at the bands. One look at BMTH frontman Oliver ‘Oli’ Sykes, and the boys must have been thinking, treat yo self.
Rise Records heavyweight Of Mice & Men just put out the music video for Bones Exposed, a skullcrushing track off their brand new album ‘Restoring Force’. Catch OM&M on tour in the PNW 3/24 in Seattle, 3/25 in Vancouver BC, and 3/26 in Portland with Bring Me The Horizon, Issues, letlive., and Northlane. Watch the video after the jump.
