Alright, how do we put our name on this thing?
Listicle writing school pt. 1 of several in 2015. Now that we’re about halfway through 2015, here are my favorite records so far. You know I can drone on and on so I’ll pipe down so I can talk.
If you haven’t seen it yet somehow, Emery put up a new video for the aptly named “Thrash” yesterday. You Were Never Alone is looking to be the most Emery album of all Emery albums, and as always, we’ve got our ears to the ground. Hit the Emery Facebook page to peep the video and preorder the new stuff. Don’t forget that these vets will be playing El Co 5/15 to celebrate The Question’s 10th anniversary with Wolves At The Gate and others. Tickets start at $17 advance on the El Corazon calendar. Yea.
Seattle heavyweight Emery just dropped their new song “Thrash” on guitarist Matt Carter’s new podcast Break It Down, the second off of upcoming self-released record You Were Never Alone. It follows last week’s first new song “Rock, Pebble, Stone”. Check it on AltPress now!
Last Friday, Seattle heroes Emery and The Classic Crime wrapped up a two-week tour in their hometown’s familiar El Corazon venue. The pair of long-running Seattle bands brought Louisville Tooth & Nail band Artifex Pereo on tour while inviting a trio of PNW acts to open the night: A Taste Of Daylight, Black Sky (formerly To Paint The Sky), and talented pop punk band Shoreline Drive.
Seattle’s The Classic Crime is currently celebrating their brand new release What Was Done, Volume 1, an album of acoustics and revisited band favorites. The band has also released a video for ‘Vagabonds (Revisited)’. Check it out, and catch these guys with Emery at El Corazon 11/21!
To celebrate 10 years as a band, Seattle’s The Classic Crime is releasing the highly anticipated What Was Done: Volume 1 on October 27th (today!) through BadChristian music. The album is a collection of fan favorites through the years, rearranged as acoustic songs or reinterpreted with the band’s added years of experience.
Having toured the Eastern half of America with Norma Jean, our boys in Emery will be returning through Texas, California, Oregon, and landing in Seattle this November with The Classic Crime and Artifex Pereo. PNW dates include Portland’s Hawthorne Theater 11/20 and Seattle’s El Corazon 11/21. VIP tickets with acoustic set and meet-and-greet perks are up now for purchase!
TONIGHT with the BadChristian living room tour, Seattle’s darling duo Vocal Few will be making a performance along with Emery’s Matt & Toby. Tickets look to be sold out, but the MacDonalds will be performing for free at the Living Room Lounge in Bellevue on 9/12!
Want to see Matt & Toby of BadChristian in an intimate house setting? The longtime Emery bros are bringing their podcast to life in Seattle 8/26 and Portland 8/27 before heading down the West Coast. Keep an eye out for deets, tickets, and the like.
