Newly reformed Michigan bigshot Chiodos has put all of their new record ‘Devil’ up on YouTube. It’s been a massive week for new releases and videos, so let’s do a bit of recap.
After last month’s reunion shows, it looks like Mukilteo mathcore trailblazers are officially back on the saddle. The band has announced a show at Showbox Market 2/22, and will continue writing, recording, and releasing music on their own, for free, for their fans. According to his Twitter page, frontman Thomas Erak’s involvement in the reformed Chiodos lineup will not be affected by The Fall Of Troy’s reunion. General admission tickets will be available 1/24, but VIP tickets will be up at noon tomorrow, all available on The Fall Of Troy website. Newly restored Chiodos frontman Craig Owens will be performing online on StageIt this coming Tuesday, 1/14 at 8PM EST/5PM PST. Tickets for the streaming concert are $5, and the top 100 tippers will receive a ‘With Love’ CD, a wristband, and an mp3 download of Rebel Girl. The top 25 tippers will receive all of the above, as well as a handwritten lyric sheet of their favorite Owens song, and the highest tipper will get the shirt off his back. After playing the first of three reunion shows last night in Austin, TX, The Fall Of Troy has claimed that they will continue playing shows, and possibly release new music. This would be the first new music that the Mukilteo, WA trio has released since their 2009 record ‘In The Unlikely Event’. It’s unclear how a reunion will affect frontman Thomas Erak’s involvement in Chiodos as current lead guitarist, but Erak has stated in the past that at least The Fall Of Troy reunion shows are not a resignation from Chiodos. Keep an eye out for more details, we’ll keep TFOT covered. Thomas Erak has been hinting at big news, rumored to be a reunion of Mukilteo Mathcore legends The Fall of Troy. The former TFOT frontman and guitarist has more recently been lead guitarist for the newly reassembled Chiodos lineup, but has made clear on Twitter that he will not be leaving Chiodos. The Fall of Troy Facebook page, which has been quiet since the disbandment in 2010, posted simply, “Oh what!?…..” early this morning, further adding to rumors of the reunion.
