Today, on my 24th birthday, I bid 23 and 2013 a formal ‘good riddance!’ and attempt to salvage an otherwise crappy year with some good music. I know I get wordy, so let’s just get into it. 10 favorite albums, 10 favorite singles, no filler.
2013 was a big year for Ocala stars A Day To Remember, and they’re closing it out with a music video for their biggest, newest call to arms, Right Back At It Again. The music video is equal parts hilarious and awesome, the decade-old Floridians pushing their best pop licks and breakdowns into a courageous and wholly entertaining four minute video. Watch it. All of it.
Stream the full Truth Under Attack record ‘The Takeover’ on Youtube now! This exciting young core band fuses the fun of pop punk with the heavies of metal, in the same vein as A Day To Remember or Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! (whose frontman, Bert Poncet, is featured on the record!) Catch the stream below, and keep up with TUA on Facebook!

I should first note that Tuesday night’s House Party Tour at WaMu Theater was without a doubt the largest rock show I’ve ever been to, festivals and -paloozas aside. This was also the most I’ve ever intentionally listened to All Time Low.
Lancaster PA’s pop punk herald The Wonder Years has been added to the House Party Tour. The US tour boasts a trio of massive bands: A Day to Remember headlining, with Pierce the Veil and All Time Low supporting. The bands will come through WaMu Theater in Seattle on September 17th, and will hit Portland’s Expo Center on the 18th.
The line emerging from the venue doors varied in all ages and sizes; everyone there for one reason. A Day to Remember’s headliner tour “Right Back At it Again” made its stop in Seattle and left all those attended with yet another show they will surely never forget. The tour was a massive one, with countless sold out shows in its route, but with the supporting line-up (Issues and Of Mice & Men) it wasn’t a surprise as to why.
