Been a while. Let’s take a look at what’s good in the inbox!

First up, Brooklyn-based punk band Parquet Courts is getting plenty of attention lately, especially with their brand new album Sunbathing Animal. The new video for ‘Black & White’ just launched, and of course, it’s in black and white. These guys will be playing in Happy Valley in August for Pickathon 2014!

In a related vein, Detroit rock band Turn To Crime is gearing up to release their new record Can’t Love on July 1st, and have the title track ready for streaming on SoundCloud. Very cool.

Meanwhile, Andrew Jackson Jihad has a new music video for ‘Coffin Dance’, off this year’s kooky album Christmas Island, which we reviewed a while back! The video for ‘Coffin Dance’ is exactly as quirky and original as you’d think AJJ would be. Watch, and catch these guys on tour this Summer in Vancouver BC July 24, Seattle July 25, and Portland July 26!

London band Woman’s Hour has a music video for ‘Conversations’, the title track off the forthcoming album on Secretly Canadian! The record drops on July 15th, but you can watch ‘Conversations’ now. Superb.

Still over the water, Swedish duo JJ shared a new song titled ‘All White Everything’, a haunting and beautiful piece from upcoming record V, releasing on August 19th on Secretly Canadian as well. Take a listen below. It’s gorgeous. Gorgeous.

Back stateside, SF pop band The Fresh & Onlys have their new album House Of Spirits up for streaming over on the NYT. It’s a fun listen, and be sure to see this quartet 7/10 in Portland, 7/11 in Vancouve BC, or 7/12 at Seattle’s Chop Suey!

Also hailing from SF, Cold Beat has a fun new vid for ‘Mirror’, off debut release Over Me, out 7/8 on Crime On The Moon.

PHOX has a gorgeous Summery new song titled ‘1936’, and it’s as good as the buzz about them would have you believe. Stream now on SoundCloud, and keep eyes peeled for their show information: tour dates in Portland and Seattle are just around the corner!

Let’s keep up the fun. NY band Bishop Allen‘s new single ‘Start Again’ is a blast to listen to, and is the first song we’ve heard from Lights Out, due mid August of this year on Dead Oceans!

After the big hubbub surrounding recent reunion announcements, American Football has put out their first music video for ‘Never Meant’, a single from 15 years ago. It’s stunningly beautiful.

Finally, but certainly not least, California acoustic duet This Wild Life is celebrating a week with their brand new album Clouded. As seen on The Weak’s End 10th Anniversary Tour with Emery, this impossibly talented duo has a beautiful new set of songs, including ‘Don’t Say’, below:

Watch This Wild Life on tour this Summer on Warped. See you there!
