Tangerine – ‘Behemoth EP’ Release at Barboza 10/23
On any given Thursday night in Seattle’s iconic neighborhood, Capitol Hill, you are bound to walk into an awesome show. This was no different on October 23rd over at Barboza where local quartet, Tangerine, celebrated the release of their new EP, BEHEMOTH!. The basement bar was filled to the rim with loyal fans, friends, and family for Marika, Miro, Toby, and Ryan.
Tangerine treated the home crowd to their own special brand of indie through new and familiar tunes. New tracks off the BEHEMOTH! EP promise the same surfy/poppy/chill palpations that we are used to from this musical gang, but with a new level of intensity and honesty (as exhibited in the leading single, “You’ll Always Be Lonely“).
Having seen Tangerine play at the Big Ass Boombox Festival in January, Capitol Hill Block Party in July, Bumbershoot in September, and now at Barboza, it has been great to witness their growth as a band in just one year. Not only has their stage presence improved, but their musical concoctions have matured as well. Tangerine had the whole crowd singing along to their catchy pop melodies, head-bobbing to their rock-driven beats, and dancing along to their happy vibes.
It will not be long before indie fans outside of Seattle start taking notice of Tangerine.
BEHEMOTH! is now available on iTunes!
