Capitol Hill Block Party Preview- Björk
Ah, finally my dear friends I have the ability to drink in the comfort of my own home and walk a couple blocks to be on festival grounds. Capitol Hill Block Party is here! Blessing us with a densely populated 8 blocks- this year is going to be nothing short of awesome with a stacked line-up of kick ass acts. Here’s the top 3 artists I’m most excited for this year;
Excuse me while I hyperventilate at the fact that i will be just feet away from one of the best artists of my time. Chaz Bundick is one of the few musicians that has the ability to embrace and create music of any genre and do it successfully. Emerging from the chillwave scene and slowly adding hints of R&B, Funk and now the sound of a full alternative band. Chaz has proven himself to be a creative and daring artist who will only continue to rise.
Charlie Yin aka my one and only California bae is back! I’ve been stuck on his recent Diplo & Friends set since it was released and I’m beyond ready to see him tear up the stage here in again. As stated in my write up for his visit to Neumos in February- his sets are the most perfectly crafted mixes a producer could give. If you plan on attending this, I hope you wear comfortable clothes because its gonna get sweaty!
3. The Physics
Nothing is better than seeing some serious Seattle fam doing their thing on the stage. As one of the best Hip-Hop acts in our wonderful city, The Physics always put on the best shows and radiate their strong friendship while sharing the stage. If we are lucky, they will play their classic anthems like “Coronas on Madrona” and “I Heart Beer” as well as tracks from their newest release “Wish You Were Here”.
Tonight, I will be attending the kick-off party to prepare my self for three straight days of music immersion, if you see me say hi! Remember tickets are free for Three Day Pass holders or still available for just $5!
