      Located right in the heart of the music venue/trendy bar/coffee shop/vintage store-infested Seattle neighborhood, Capitol Hill Block Party is the place to be for any music-loving hipster. It is an awesome festival to discover locals bands and catch a few of your favorite bigger name acts. So for those that want to relive the awesome weekend, or for any of you that wish you were there, I got your back! There is no possible way for me to talk about every single band at CHBP, so here is a rundown on the highlights of the three day festival:


    2. News : Watch The War On Drugs Tear It Up On Letterman

      Philly sextet The War On Drugs has been making a huge splash this year with new record Lost In The Dream, and the performance of ‘Red Eyes’ on Letterman on Monday night is only adding to the fury. Watch the spellbinding performance below. Adam Granduciel and crew will be headed to the Capitol Hill Block Party later this month, hit Vancouver BC’s Rickshaw Theatre on double dates 7/29 and 7/30, and then turn down to Happy Valley, OR for Pickathon 8/1 and 8/2!

      The PNW has a long pedigree of excellent festivals, and Pickathon is an old favorite in our corner of the States. Pickathon’s latest lineup is looking to be yet another bright star in our illustrious festival history. Held August 1-3 in Happy Valley, Oregon, notable artists include new announcement The War On Drugs, Nickel Creek, Warpaint, Angel Olsen, Foxygen, AgesandAges, Diarrhea Planet, and way, way, way, more.     4. News : TODAY! Capitol Hill Block Party Price Drop And Partial Lineup

      Every year, the Capitol Hill Block Party gets bigger and better. This year’s lineup (July 25-27) will feature A$ap Rocky, Spoon, The War On Drugs, and Chromeo, as well as local acts like Odesza. More artists will be announced, but for today only, 3-day passes are $99 instead of the regular $125! Pick up tickets on the CHBP website!

    6. News : The War On Drugs Announce New Album And 2014 Spring Tour

      Philadelphia indie rock band The War On Drugs has announced their new album, ‘Lost In The Dream’, out 3/18 on Secretly Canadian. Stream the first single, Red Eyes, on SoundCloud, and catch the trio on tour in Seattle 3/28 at the Neptune Theater, 3/29 in Vancouver BC, and 3/30 in Portland.


    7. News : Nightlands Midwest/West Coast Fall Tour

      Now most of a year past his sophomore full length, ‘Oak Island’, Philly artist Nightlands is gearing up for a Midwest/West Coast tour late this fall. Perhaps better known as Dave Hartley, bassist for The War On Drugs, Nightlands will visit Seattle 11/14 at the Sunset Tavern and 11/17 at Portland’s Bunk Bar.
