The dynamic rock band Dreamers is based in Brooklyn, though two of the members are Seattle natives. The trio opened the night for Young Rising Sons and Hunter Hunted’s co-headliner tour. Dreamers powered through some early technical issues with the guitar pedal board on the balmy Seattle evening. The band is taking a couple of weeks off recording their new record. If it’s as good as their EP, it will be amazing. The trio played a solid mix of old and new material, and the fresh song “Black and White” was my personal favorite. I had some trouble finding their music on Spotify so here is the link, as well as the link to their Soundcloud.

With a soft and sweet tone reminiscent of the sisters of Eisley, the float-y textures of Florence and The Machine, and the production edge of Lorde – Ryn Weaver creates a unique brand of alternative indie-pop that sounds fresh and familiar all at once.

    9. Local Spotlight : Ben Zaidi

      Posted on in Local Spotlight

We’ve worked with Ben in the past before, for his indie hip hop project Bared Grillz. Well, the multi-talented Seattle musician and producer is back from the East coast with a new project operating as Ben Zaidi, and we’re stoked to help premiere his record Sophomore. The new material represents four years of writing and a huge departure from Bared Grillz, but is as impressive and demonstrative of Ben’s wide talents as his older work. We’ve had the honor and pleasure of streaming the full album, and it is stunning. From the bittersweet marching of opening track “Faithfall” to the rapid wordplay in “Hollowed By You”, the record is a genre-spanning treasure well worth picking up. Head to Ben’s Bandcamp to stream and download at the great price of PWYW.
