    2. News : Lawrence Rothman And Mas Ysa And Zoolab At Barboza 2/19

      Tomorrow night at Barboza, performance artist/EDM experimenter Lawrence Rothman will hit Seattle’s Barboza with NY artist Mas Ysa and local EDMer Zoolab. Rothman will portray a different character every night, and his performance this evening in Portland and tomorrow in Seattle are sure to be weird… in all the right ways.       After the December 2013 release of ‘Love’s Crushing Diamond’, Mutual Benefit has been gaining momentum for a big early 2014. Recognition for Jordan Lee-and-company’s project has been coming from far and wide, including awards and spotlights from Pitchfork and Stereogum, and the latest, a Song Of The Day feature on our very own KEXP for Golden Wake. Lee is currently touring North America, playing Vancouver BC 1/21 and swinging down to Seattle’s Barboza 1/22, and Portland 1/23.     4. News : Quilt Announce New Record And Winter North American Tour

      Boston’s charming vintage pop trio Quilt is getting ready for the 1/28 release of their new record, ‘Held In Splendor’. Along with their sophomore record release, the trio will be setting out on a massive North American tour, including 2/10 in Seattle, 2/11 in Vancouver BC, and 2/12 in Portland.     5. News : Wire Announces Drill: Seattle Festival

      Following the release of Wire’s 13th studio record ‘Change Becomes Us’, the long-running British quartet has posted dates for a West coast tour and announced plans to bring their Drill festival to Seattle. The band will come up the West coast in late November, hit Portland 11/20 with Helmet and Chastity Belt, and culminate in the Drill: Seattle Festival. The lineup and venues for the festival are as follows: 11/21 at Barboza, with Earth, Pillar Point, and Drill, 11/22 at The Crocodile with Helmet, (TBA), and FF, and 11/23 at Neumos with Wire, Chastity Belt, Vestals, and the Pinkflag Guitar Orchestra.     6. News : San Fermin At Barboza, 10/19

      Indie megaband San Fermin will be bringing their massive, catchy take on chamber pop to Portland 10/18, Seattle’s Barboza this Saturday, 10/19, and Vancouver BC 10/20. The Brooklyn-based 8-piece is masterminded by composer/arranger Ellis Ludwig-Leone, and has garnered plenty of attention for the first single, Sonsick, a song you can check out below!
