      Seattle’s electronic scene has never been a secret, with some of the coolest venues like Q Night Club and organizations like USC and Upper Left bringing by some of the biggest tours. However, I find that the gems of Seattle are slowly growing in smaller events such as Jet Seattle- previously hosted on Friday nights in Barboza. There, I was able to discover some of the best DJ’s and producers Seattle has to offer.

      California pair, Haunted Summer comes to take the Barboza stage tomorrow night with their melodic psychedelic sounds. If you haven’t heard of the duo, they create some of the most intriguingly haunting music between layers of sultry guitar and enchanting vocals with an electronic twist. A perfect weeknight show to let yourself sink into some beautiful sounds while consuming some Barboza cocktails!

    3. News : Stream Briana Marela’s New Single “Take Care Of Me”

      Seattle-based artist Briana Marela is getting ready to drop her new record All Around Us, out August 21st on Jagjaguwar. She’s released a second single from the album, an enchanting song titled “Take Care Of Me”. Stream it on SoundCloud now, and watch the video for first single “Surrender” below. To top it all off, Briana will be supporting Norwegian songstress Jenny Hval on a North American tour that will bring her back to the PNW.       Maine artist Lady Lamb will be playing Barboza in Seattle next Wednesday, 4/29! Currently pushing new album After, Lady Lamb will perform with Rathborne, and tickets for this 8PM 21+ show start at $11 on the Barboza calendar. This is gonna be good.

      We’re very, VERY excited to be working with Tacoma indie rock band Colonies to premiere their new video for “All We Have”. The video is beautiful and moving, a stunning match to the sweeping warmth of the song that comes off the forthcoming crowdfunded album Forest Floor.

      On any given Thursday night in Seattle’s iconic neighborhood, Capitol Hill, you are bound to walk into an awesome show. This was no different on October 23rd over at Barboza where local quartet, Tangerine, celebrated the release of their new EP, “Behemoth!” The basement bar was filled to the rim with loyal fans, friends, and family for Marika, Miro, Toby, and Ryan.

      Portland trio Greylag has released the first single from their upcoming self-titled, titled ‘Yours To Shake’. The album is out on October 14th on Dead Oceans, and will be preceded in the PNW with a pair of dates: 10/10 in Portland at Mississippi Studios, and 10/11 at Barboza in Seattle with The Whigs.

    10. News : Daniel G Harmann & The Trouble Starts CD Release/Farewell Show

      That’s right. Sometimes-solo act and Seattle artist Daniel G Harmann & The Trouble Starts will go out with a bang this Wednesday, 2/26, at Barboza. The seven-year band will release their new album, ‘West’, officially 2/25, which makes their Wednesday show both a CD release show and a farewell show. All of the band’s material is now available for streaming and for purchase on Bandcamp, including ‘West’. Fellow Seattle band Western Haunts will share the stage with their own brand new album, previewing now on Bandcamp.
