    1. News : Stream Verlaine’s “Seven Hills” Acoustic

      Seattle band Verlaine just put up an acoustic version of “Seven Hills”, adapted from the song off last year’s debut album The Open Sea on Bandcamp. The track features string parts arranged by Mike Hogan of David Crowder Band. Very cool.


    2. News : Mansions Vinyl ‘Dig Up The Dead’ Coming To Bad Timing Records

      Seattle’s Mansions have announced that their Dig Up The Dead Acoustic album will be coming to Bad Timing Records (The same people that printed Acceptance’s Phantoms a year or two back!). Their vinyls are always top-notch, and will go on sale at 11AM PST if I did my maths correctly. Unlikely. Anyways, Doom Loop and the non-acoustic flavor of Dig Up The Dead will also be available. All vinyls (including the one released today) are in stock and will ship immediately SO SIP IT.


    3. News : Watch The Classic Crime’s Lyric Video For ‘Vagabonds (Revisited)’

      Seattle’s The Classic Crime is currently celebrating their brand new release What Was Done, Volume 1, an album of acoustics and revisited band favorites. The band has also released a video for ‘Vagabonds (Revisited)’. Check it out, and catch these guys with Emery at El Corazon 11/21!

      Last week, California acoustic breakout This Wild Life brought their headlining tour in to Seattle’s El Corazon Lounge. The band came in to pick up Peace Mercutio for the rest of their PNW dates, and brought in local band Shoreline Drive to round out the night. Fans at this year’s Emery show will recognize these three names, as all three artists shared the El Corazon main stage earlier for The Weak’s End 10th Anniversary Tour.

      Federal Way band Amber Pacific has a few acoustic videos up for songs off The Turn, the first new album in a while from this classic PNW quintet. Watch ‘Undone’ below, and pick up the new album everywhere next Tuesday! Watch these guys play El Corazon this Saturday, 8/30, for the Emerald City Rock Party II! Moneta, Keeping Secrets, Sell The Rights, The Home Team, and tons of other great PNW bands will be in attendance as well.

      This Saturday, 7/26, El Corazon’s lounge will host a plethora of familiar faces covering familiar songs! Bands like Alabaster (!!!), Peace Mercutio, and An Old Best Friend will all be present, covering songs from Taylor Swift, Tooth & Nail, Michael Jackson, and more. Tickets are $7 advance, $10 at the door, and available on the El Corazon calendar. Doors at 6:30!

      This Saturday, catch Seattle band Peace Mercutio headlining an acoustic show in El Corazon’s lounge, featuring the talents of The Common Names, AJ Caso of We The Audience, Forget Me Not, An Old Best Friend, and Alina Ashley Nicole. Tickets are $8 advance on the El Co calendar and $10 at the doors, which open at 7PM.

      Ten years, almost to the day. 9 years, 353 days. Last Friday night at El Corazon, Emery kicked off the West coast leg of their ‘The Weak’s End’ 10th Anniversary tour. With fellow Seattle bands Peace Mercutio and The Classic Crime and Long Beach’s This Wild Life in tow, the second leg of the tour is off to a sensational start. As with the East Coast leg of the tour, the lineup is largely acoustic, with stripped-down Emery songs and Q&A sessions between sets.
